Cosmo Gold Ltd owns and operates the mining tenements comprising the Cosmo Newbery Gold Project. The Project is located around the Cosmo Newbery aboriginal community located around 90km north-east of Laverton in Western Australia. Due mainly to access restrictions, and with the exception of limited reconnaissance in 2017, the Project has been unexplored since 2002.

The Project area covers the entire Cosmo greenstone belt. Exploration reviews and interpretations indicate considerable untested potential within the Project area.
